I don’t know about you, but I am a cold weather wuss. I know that lower temps help with shoe friction and skin contact, but I do not see myself suffering the cold for a SEND. Who knows, maybe I’ll change my mind. I would rather climb when its hot than cold, if I had to pick from one of the extremes.
How extreme would you go for optimal conditions?

3/31/12 – 45* with 13 mph winds, Sport Climbing at Barn Bluff in Red Wing, MN – Redpoint 5.12a (tied for best redpoint)

Yes, I thought the same. Toe hook dynamically into sidepull. That goes to show that we need to think ‘outside the box’ for movement solutions. Sometimes the less obvious move can be the most efficient.
